Unbearable cuteness
First off, Yarnival! Today’s the last day to submit.
Second, meet Igor:
What a cutie! He arrived on Monday, but it’s been too rainy to photograph him until today. I’ve long admired Maritza’s softies, and I happily snagged a mantis when they were in the shop last week.
Third:
I put some food out for Blackie #3 a couple of nights ago, and went to check on her as she ate (there’s another cat sauntering about that we’re trying not to feed). It was dark out, and when I flicked on the light I found these guys eating the food:
I’m almost 100% sure that they aren’t B3’s, unless she had them before we started feeding her (and she hid them from us this whole time). These guys are kind of feral in that they hiss like crazy at us, but they’ve become much more chill over the past day and a half.
I took them in for a checkup this morning, and they seem to be in relatively good health. The tortie and calico are girls and the rest boys, and they weigh between 1 and 1.5 pounds each. So teeny! We’re going to be fostering these guys for the time being - every no-kill place in the area is full or not really no-kill, and we don’t want to just dump these guys off at the SPCA.
Anyone local and want a kitten? Seriously, take two.

So cute! Wow, four kittens. I can only imagine… we only have one and she’s a handful!
Squee! Kittenses! And good for you for taking good care of them . . . so many people don’t. As for B3, she may well be the mama . . . we had a feral cat give birth to five kittens under our deck last year, and we never knew she was pregnant until after she’d had them (she had been visiting our backyard since she was a kitten herself, so we “knew” her). We tried to catch her and the babies, but she moved them on us. ANYway, those kittens are adorable, and I hope you find homes for them all! Did the vet say how old they are?
Those kittens are total cuteness. I am sure you will be able to find them great homes!
I was lucky enough to snag up a Mini-Mantis in the last shop update too. They are the cutest softies ever!
So, my fiancee and I kind of like the torti, a LOT. I can’t remember where you are in Texas, but we’d be willing to drive. Our apartment wouldn’t be kitten ready for a week or two - would you mind fostering her until then?
Those kittens are a lapful of cuteness! So tempting…if only my husband weren’t allergic. Kudos to you for taking good care of them.
Okay, thinking about it more, I wasn’t sure if which you were referring to as torti and calico - we like the one on the far right, that’s all grey and orange and white and awesome. She’s probably calico, but I used to have a torti that was grey/orange, and looked just like her, minus the white.
You’re in Austin right? (We’re in austin, as well.) Just let me know if you can foster her for a week or two, and then we’ll be ready for her. ^_^
I would TOTALLY take the cute orange kitty with the blue eyes if I could, but alas, I am too far away (and have plenty of orange cat to sate my teensy apartment lifestyle). And Igor, IGOR! I have a sweet, photogenic Hammy coming soon, and I. Can’t. Wait.
I have a mini manti too!! I love them. I also like your kittens. =) Too bad about the no-kill places, eh? That’s exactly how it is in my town and why we have our cat Maddy. There are *far* too many unloved cats in the world.
Speaking of which, I have to try and trap the male stray we’ve been feeding to get him neutered. I think he will really hate me after that.
how cute! good luck finding homes for all the little sweethearts!
jeez, between the softie and the kitties, it’s like this post was scientifically calculated to make us all melty. so freaking cute!!
I would totally take a kitten, but Lance said no more cats. Phooey!
awwwww……they are so cute!!!!!!!
wow…between puppies at “on and off the needles” and kittens here, I’m almost on cute overload!
Ohhhh I am so tempted to take one off your hands. I really, really wish I could.
Ahhhh kittens!!! I love the torti!! She looks just like a baby Meemers (my old kitty that is in kitty heaven now). Chuck put me on a strict 3 pet limit but it can’t hurt to ask. Maybe I can get his cat to go move in with the in-laws. She doesn’t like my kitty or the dog either.
Aww, such cuties! I’d be a terrible cat momma, though.
If I were local to you, I’d totally take in a kitty! Can’t have too much kitteny goodness, after all!
I hope you find good homes for those little guys. They’re so dang cute!
Gosh, that’s a crazy amount of cute for one post. Sorry we can’t help you with the kitties, but with cutie-pies like that I’m sure you’ll find good families for them quickly.
The cuteness! It is killing me. Since our cat went off to kitty-heaven at the beginning of the summer, Jason has been begging for a kitten. I’ve tried to resist - I have minimal patience for litterbox training - but these guys are really making me weak. *sigh* SO cute!!! (I love the one on the far right too - but of course, personality beats out looks in importance.)
OK - surely this post should get you in trouble with someone, somewhere… Seriously, *this* much cuteness in one post???
There ought to be a law….
Wow, Igor is really cool! The kitties are so sweet looking.
Kelly, I found your blog from Ash. I love it! And those kittens, too cute.
You guys are so good-hearted for fostering the kittens. I hope you find wonderful homes for them.
Awww.. If i lived closer, and was not super allergic i would take one!
LOVE ME some igor too!
