Hello, Bandwagon!

Pattern: Fetching, from Knitty
Yarn: Artyarns Supermernio, less than one skein

<Derogatory statement about how everyone has knit these already>. <Witty remark about how truly Fetching they are>. <Proclamation that the Supermerino is awesome and would be even more super-awesome if all of the colorways were as lovely as this>. <Vague description of modifications, including ditching the picot bindoff and knitting less rows at the top to prevent curling>. <Poorly worded rant about curling>!

<General disgust toward my camera, given that there are three photos of these mitts that all look like a different colorway (or different dyelots, at least)>.

There you go, a Fetching FO post template. You can thank me when you make a pair!

In other exciting news, the Baudelaires made their debut tonight. This is a first! Well, I’ve worn my other pair of handknit socks around the house, but the one cuff is too tight, so they slouch down in an annoying way. A general question to you all - what shoes do you wear handknit socks with? These sneakers make me feel like a 12 year old (but the Price was Right!), and the only reason that the socks fit is that the shoes are a bit too big for me.

B’you’tee’full Fetching mitts!!! Love that colorway! You’re not the last one - I still haven’t made any but my gosh I think I will any minute now!! hehe

I wear my hand knit socks… knit by your hands… with my clogs (loose roomy comfy shoes). Other people say they wear them also with Crocs! I’m lookin for a pair of brown crocs, I think. Trying to decide on a color. :)

It’s a fine Bandwagon to jump on. I plan to join the masses myself once I get a little time from my holiday-charity-swap knitting! I love the color of the Artyarns you chose!

I wear my handknit socks with lots of different shoes, my Keenes, funky sneakers, boots. It seems that lately I am choosing shoes based on the socks, rather than the other way around!

I’m on the same bandwagon. I just finished my second pair. Two down, eleventy-billion to go. They’re the perfect gift knit. I like your non-picot bindoff. I think I’ll give that a whirl on my next pair.

Here’s a comment so that you can find my blog!

I LOVE those shoes, BTW. I was admiring them last night and was wondering where I could get a pair. So where did you get them?

I’ve done up a full size length pattern(to the elbow). Email me if you’d like it. And please excuse the fact that I don’t make sense this morning!

Your Fetchings are very fetching, indeed.

I haven’t found the right shoes for handknit socks, but by “right” I mean “decent looking”. They fit really well in my Keens, and it is such a comfy combo, but I only wear them like that to walk the dogs. I need to start buying my shoes big enough to accomidate them!

THOSE are sneakers?! They are way cute and perfect with the handknits. I wear a size larger shoe in winter to accomodate my socks. Any shoe, really so long as I can get the socked foot in it. Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of cute shoes available in size 11. I’m not much of a heel girl anyway unless it’s a boot. Hey, the fetchings are fab!

Those are lovely Fetchings! Welcome to the bandwagon! Although I haven’t jumped on it yet, so maybe you can welcome me when that happens ;)

That’s a bandwagon I should jump on! They are such cute little mitts!

I wear my handknit socks with either clogs or some of my “roomier” shoes….

I hope the wagon sticks around long enough for me to jump on! Those look great. I wear my (one and only pair) of handknit socks with my Dansko clogs.

I just finished one hand so far. I think when I post about them next week I’ll use your template.

I wear my Black corduroy mary janes with my handknit socks.

I have one I haven’t worn out more than once, but it works either with ankle boots (they’re kneesocks) or my black satin quilted mary janes. I also made a pair of two-toed socks that i wear with some nice flip flops.

Haven’t jumped on the Fetching bandwagon yet, but yours are lovely!
Like Staci, I’ve worn my handknit socks with Keens. Also with Danskos. And those are my “decent looking” shoes. :)

Oooh, I love that color of Supermerino! I can’t say I really wear my handknit socks, except around the house. But I only have 2 ill-fitting pairs.
