Target Wave Mittens
Just like the photo in the book, right? The Target Wave Mittens are done, just in time for August!
Pattern: Target Wave Mittens, Knitting Nature
Yarn: Louet Gems Topaz, size 6 needles.
Modifications: The pattern was written for child’s sizes, so I upsized it for my hands and for my different gauge. I knit these in the round using the jogless jog, which worked out pretty well.
I wish that I had made the thumb targets bigger - they look much more proportional in the pattern photo, but I think that mine look pretty cute regardless.
Some nice overexposed, kinda blurry, photos for you all. Blackie has placed a request that I never do this to her again.

how wonderfully cute! I love this picture, too.
Love them! They’re so cute!! I need to get you to send me your pattern for the cabley mittens. I keep forgetting to email you…
Those came out great! I wish I could use mittens. And Blackie is such a cute little Tortie!
I love those mits - great colors, and they’re so cute.
So cute! It must have been so hot modeling them though!
Great pictures and great mittens of course. Looks quite tricky to adjust the pattern to adult size. Do you think these mittens would be cool (ehm hot) when felted? For the ultimate snowball fight…
I think they look great! - and I like the color combo you used.
LOVE the colors you chose. Can’t imagine them never worn! You must travel to an exotic and cold clime to show them off!
Thanks guys! Perhaps I can use them at work, where the A/C is always turned to Bone Chilling.
Cute mittens. I want them too@
They turned out great! I just finished the bubble pullover…such a great book! Nice blog :)
Wow, they look great! I got my copy of IK yesterday, and they were the one pattern that screamed ‘knit me!’. I was a bit concerned that they’re actually a kids’ pattern, so it’s great to see that your re-working of them turned out so well. I will definitely be making these.
lovely mittens - great that you sized them up. did you have any trouble with the pattern? I am up to ’shape fingertip target’ and think that it should say RS, not WS.
